Respite Care
We know that caring for someone else is a full time commitment and life does not stop despite this need arising. We understand the importance of needing to care for ourselves personally and therefore know how vital it is to offer relief to those in this position. The benefit is for both the full time/family carer and the client. There is often a large benefit to adding another friendly face to the caregiving circle, who they can trust and rely on.

This type of care also enables the full time carer to obtain a renewed vigor in their care after a needed break. Respite care takes place in the clients own space and therefore allows temporary changes in care not to cause drastic and unneeded disruption. Incorporating respite care also ensures that if a need were to arise in the future for any reason that the client could have a rapport already established with someone else other than their primary carer. Lastly, respite care can allow an objective way to look at areas of care that may not have been considered or explored
- respite relief need can vary and range by hours, days, weeks, months etc. It could be a one time request or an ongoing planned out schedule of support
-respite care can be for any age
- respite care can keep confidence in appropriate care ongoing while primary carer is away.
- respite care includes a large array of needs depending on each client such as personal care , cooking, errands, medication, mobility, companionship etc etc.
